Human Resource Management (HRM)
HRM is simply dealing with employees of the organization in an effective way in order to achieve business goals. The human resource department is designed to ensure the proper human resource management in an organization & they should need to drive the organization to success through people.

HRM was evolved from the personal management which called as erstwhile management system used to manage employees of an organization.Elton Mayo, psychologists from Australia did numerous researches , experiments on human behaviour at different situations.Work life balance & human relations will increase the productivity of employees (Mayo, 1924). Later he was recognized as the father of Human resources management.In addition Robert Owen introduced reforms for workers in his own Lanark cotton mills & initiated a principle of 8 hours day work, 8 hours rest and 8 hours sleep. He believed that better working conditions of the work place directly effect the productivity & efficiency of workers.
Importance of HRM
Each & every activity , process in an organization is a result of a human mind & no product or service can be produced without engagement of a human being. Human mind is a crucial factor in operating an organization as same is fundamental factor in day to day activities.Most importantly human resource can manipulate other aspects of the organization such as money, machines, materials & methods.Hence companies try to absorb the best humans in the market with skills, competencies required to achieve business goals having competitive advantages over competitors.
Responsibility for HRM
HR Manager or the officer is responsible for human resource management while director HR is the top level authority responsible for administration of all human resource activities and policies of the organization.

Managerial HR Functions
1.Planning -: HR planning is proper analysis of needs of HR to make sure required number of employees with adequate skills are available when they are required (Mondy el al., 1996). HR managers need to establish goals need to be achieved via competent work force, impose / monitor rules procedures & HR outsourcing as well.
2.Organizing -: This includes assigning tasks for employees, delegating authority, creating proper communication channels & streamlining the system for coordinating works of employees.
3.Staffing -: Selecting suitable persons, providing necessary training, assigning right job by paying them satisfactorily.
4.Directing -: Proper way of communicating employees that what organization expect from them. In includes getting work done from them, creating both way communication & ensure moral enhancement.
5.Controlling -: Handling HR related matters which includes mainly establishment of standard performance appraisal mechanism
Conclusion
It is noted that human resource is the main & most decisive resource to an organization as it controls all other resources in it by driving organization to achieving goals & objectives. In addition it is required specific plannings, directions controlling since same is live & hard to get complete understanding.Hence HRM is one of most important areas in an any sort of entity & HR department has a key role to drive work force to achieve their respective goals & objectives of the organization.
